Loren Tsalabutie was born in 1993 and is the son of the late Zuni fetish carver Jeff Tsalabutie. His father started teaching him to carving in 2006 when Loren was 13. After his father's untimely death in 2009, Loren has been mentored by his grand-father Gibbs Othole. Loren was one of 8 Fellowship recipients for the 2010 Santa Fe Indian Market.
