Yeibichai rugs represent ceremonies in which human dancers portray yeis. These figures are pictured in profile rather than face forward as is traditional with a Yei rug. At the head of the central group of dancers is usually a lead dancer while following behind is usually a clown character known as a "water sprinkler". Sometimes the medicine man and the patient for whom the dance is being performed are also depicted.
