WARRIOR MAIDEN HE-E-E KACHINA DOLL BY NATE AHOWNEWA (HOPI)
He-e-e Warior Maiden
The Warrior Maiden Kachina represents the character of a young girl. According to legend, this family lived outside the main village. The young girl was having her hair put up by her mother one morning when they saw enemies of the village sneaking towards it. The young girl jumped up with her hair only half done, grabbed a bow, quiver and arrows from the wall and raced toward the village to warn the people. She then led the defense of the village until the men in the fields could return to fight the enemy.
