SILVER & YELLOW GOLD CUFF BRACELET BY MYRON PANTEAH (ZUNI)
Myron Panteah was born in 1966 and resides at Zuni Pueblo, New Mexico. He is a third-generation silversmith, having learned his art from his father and grandmother. He is best known for his intricate pierced design work. He says of his work, "My ideas come to me while I am working. Many of my pieces have migration and water symbols incorporated in the design. The spiral is a migration symbol-it is like the solar system, the spirals on our fingertips, the rings on a tree." (McFadden & Taubman 2002:168)
