SILVER, TURQUOISE & LAPIS CUFF BY VERONICA POBLANO (ZUNI)
Veronica Poblano was born in 1951 and is the daughter of the late Leo Poblano and Ida Vacit Poblano. She has been active in stone carving and jewelry making since the 1960's. She was awarded a SWAIA Fellowship in 1993 and was one of the artists chosen for the exhibition at the American Museum of Natural History called "From Totems to Turquoise", which also toured the country in 2005-2006. She is known for her bold contemporary designs.
