Veronica Poblano is the daughter of the late, famed mosaic artist Leo Poblano and Ida Vacit Poblano. She has been active in stone carving and jewelry making since the 1960’s. Her work marries traditional and contemporary elements in metal and gemstones, creating beautiful and unique works of art. She has received many awards, including the SWAIA Fellowship in 1993 and was one of the artists chosen for the exhibition at the American Museum of Natural History called “From Totems to Turquoise.” She is well known for her bold contemporary designs.
