Ric Charlie (b. 1959) was born and raised near Tuba City, Arizona and is a member of the Black Street Wood People and Edgewater Clans. He is primarily a self-taught silversmith, learning various techniques and methods through observation and experimentation. He has been actively making jewelry since the early 1970’s and is well known for his contemporary works in gold and silver, various techniques in tufa casting, mosaic, channel inlay, set stonework, fabricated work and appliquéd jewelry.
