Dylan Poblano is the son of famed jeweler Veronica Poblano and grandson of legendary Zuni mosaic artist Leo Poblano. He began creating jewelry around the age of eight and his designs are reminiscent of his mother’s creations. He has been actively making jewelry since the early 1980’s. Although he was taught the traditional techniques and styles of silversmithing, his jewelry is primarily abstract and contemporary.
He is well known for his “unorthodox forms and construction techniques, which include distinctive ‘scratched’ surfaces, multi-part jewels held together with monofilament, and designs that blend precious and semi-precious materials with alternative materials and found objects.”
