SMALL POTTERY JAR BY GLEN NIPSHANK (BIG STONE CREE)
Glen Nipshank was born in Alberta, Canada and is a member of the Big Stone Cree Nation. He has been working in clay since 1984. Glen graduated from the Institute of American Indian Arts in Santa Fe, New Mexico in 1995. He focuses on contemporary forms while utilizing traditional firing techniques. His work is represented in the collection of the Heard Museum and he received the Judges Award in Contemporary Pottery at the 2007 Eiteljorg Museum Show.
