Tayron Polequaptewa was born in 1969 and has been carving since 1991. He is a member of the Sun Clan and specializes in Old-Style carvings. He is the older brother and teacher of well-known carver Ryon Polequaptewa. From 2003- 2006, he won Best of Division at the Santa Fe Indian market. He currently resides in Flagstaff, Arizona.
