COMANCHE KOMANSI KACHINA DOLL BY AUGUSTINE MOWA III (HOPI)
Augustine Mowa is from Shonopavi on Second Mesa on the Hopi Reservation. He is descended from the Bear Clan. His work is included in the collections of the Heard Museum and the Museum of Northern Arizona. He was taught by his father, Augustine Mowa Jr.
The Comanche Kachina appears in the mixed dances. He is a rare performer.
